DeLorenzo Named Chairman of Schenectady County
Bar Association Civil and Criminal Trial Lawyers Committee

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Paul E. DeLorenzo, Managing Partner of The DeLorenzo Law Firm in Schenectady, has been named chairman of the Schenectady County Bar Association's Civil and Criminal Trial Lawyers Committee.

The Civil and Criminal Trial Lawyers Committee develops and oversees continuing legal education workshops, designed to help attorneys enhance their courtroom skills and strengthen their overall client service capabilities.

"It's essential that we help young lawyers, especially, develop the skills they need to become strong, effective advocates, and I'm honored to help lead these efforts in my home county," said Mr. DeLorenzo, 46, a native and resident of Rotterdam.

Mr. DeLorenzo, who served as the Town of Rotterdam attorney from 1998 to 2002, is a 1988 graduate of Siena College, where he majored in Finance. He earned his law degree from Pace University in White Plains in 1992 and the same year joined the law firm led by his father, Thomas, who is in his 52nd year of service to the firm. The firm specializes in personal injury law, real estate, business and commercial litigation and family law.

Mr. DeLorenzo has served on the New York State Bar Association's Committee on Professional Ethics and Responsibility, and his community involvement includes service on the boards of directors for the Mohonasen Foundation for Excellence, Altus Inc. and Capital District Youth for Christ. He also is a member of the Standing Committee on Development for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northeast New York.
